Other floral hats

I crocheted 2 more hats, one is smaller for an infant and the others for a toddler, both are my friends' daughters. The rose I made from Crochet Today's Market Bag pattern.
I have a rose I made 2 years ago, lying in the box waiting to be attached on the second hat. Sorry I didn't note that time.

I made another one, using rose pattern here. This hat is for another 8-month old girl who has a lot of hair. In the cold weather in California, I think this version is better for her. I still keep the first 2 rows as in the pattern of Floral Hats from Crochet Today, but I made the lace for the rest rows.
This little flower I made from this flower pattern and tutorial. However, I made 6 petals instead of 5. Then I made a white circle instead a button. I am gonna send this hat back to my country for another friend's daughter. It's hot there.
The white hat with the 5-petal flower using the same flower pattern for another toddler in California.

I also made another rose, using this rose pattern but I have to make another hat. Wait for me.
It is fun to make things for babies.

Crochet floral hat

I like the crochet floral hat by Linda Cyr on Crochet Today magazine. I found it was published free here on Red Heart Yarn website I think it is really a good gift for this Christmas. I made one for my friend's newborn.
Then I made one for my daughter. She likes everything green but in my yarn stock, there was 2 rolls of this green. I made a big rose from this Holly wreath pattern.

From searching the links in Crochet Today, I found an adult version for this hat, called Floral Cloche. Free. Why not download it?
I could also find another blog showing you how to make flowers, in this blog, flowers are for wreath. Really love this May Rose Wreath
I bought some more yarn today, thinking of making more hats for my friend's babies.
Happy crocheting.

Useful phrases for writing essays

Thanks to my baby, I can become a student again.
I have to be a part-time student so that my baby has an authority to be accepted in the college-based child care center. I took ESL compass in the placement test. Of course, over 80, which is prerequisite to take academic classes. I got 96, 92 and 95, maybe, for Reading, grammar and listening. I should have done better but it is still good. At least I spent 4 years in university in which my major is English. (Sigh...)
And, tomorrow I have to take a writing test for placement. The Pronunciation class I intended to take is on Monday and Wednesday while my baby is in childcare on Tuesday and Thursday. And with my placement result, ENG 080 and 090 classes are not suitable. The main reason was I an only afford one class and I want to focus on my pronunciation and writing. I have to save money and time. So, a writing sample will put me in a correct academic writing class. Hope so. It's been 5 years I didn't write any essays.
When browsing for some useful phrase to write essays, I found these three useful pieces of material. I should put it here for reference. Also, a writing teacher can use it as a summary.
